  Petco has a good selection of good quality food and products. It's always very clean, and most of the staff are friendly and willing to help. I usually have a good experience in this store! Except for today.
  
  We walked into the store to return a leash and stood in line. The cashier (Heather) was already checking someone out (seemingly another Petco employee because she was wearing a Petco shirt) so we were second in line. After Heather finished checking her out, she completely avoided eye contact with us and stood there talking with the employee for about a minute or two before the off-the-clock employee finally said "She can get you checked out." Apparently Heather couldn't acknowledge us, so the off-the-clock employee had to step up and do her job for her. We were only about 6 feet from the counter, so there's no way Heather did not see us. We walked up to the counter, and Heather avoided eye contact with us, continued her conversation for another minute, kissed the woman, then told us to put in our Pals number before even greeting us in any way at all. If I ignored customers like that at my job, I would be fired. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable experience.
